"We turned the puck over a couple of times in the neutral zone and they made us pay," Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said. "We were unable to make them pay, especially in the first period when we had quality chances." The suspension will be effective immediately and Maybin wont be eligble to join the Padres active roster until August 20th. The 27-year-old was suspended without pay. In 62 games so far this year Maybin was hitting .247 with one home run and nine runs batted in. Maybin has spent eight years in the MLB. Originally drafted in the first round by the Detriot Tigers in 2005, the centrefielder has played the last four seasons in San Diego. Maybin previously had stints with the Tigers and Florida Marlins.
