Thanksgiving weekend is filled with the rivalries and season-ending drama. The first weekend in December will determine just about every conference championship. This weekend in college football looks like it has limited potential to shake up the rankings and College Football Playoff chase. But thats also what last weekend looked like and we all know how that turned out.For once, the Big 12 is in the spotlight. The conferences best hopes for making a late push to the College Football Playoff will meet in Morgantown, West Virginia, when the No. 10 Mountaineers face No. 8 Oklahoma. The Sooners (8-2) have the higher ranking but West Virginia, with its 8-1 record, probably has a better path to the playoff. Both teams will need some help as the College Football Playoff committee has not shown itself to be particularly impressed with the conferences best teams.Another game to watch in the Big 12 this week is in Fort Worth, Texas, when No. 13 Oklahoma State faces TCU. The Cowboys are the longest of playoff long shots, weighed down by a loss to Central Michigan that was aided by a blown call by officials. Oklahoma State has already beaten West Virginia and finishes the season against rival Oklahoma. The picks:THURSDAY NIGHT THROWDOWNSNo. 3 Louisville (minus 14) at HoustonLikely the last big-stage game for Lamar Jackson and the Cardinals to show off their stuff to Heisman voters and the selection committee ... Murray remains on course for a dramatic showdown with Novak Djokovic as the world No 1 fought with gritted teeth and weary limbs to stage a dramatic fightback to defeat Raonic in the semi-finals. Watch NOW TV Watch Sky Sports for just £6.99. No contract. The match lasted 18 minutes longer than his marathon victory over Kei Nishikori in the round-robin stage just four days earlier. Now only a 24th straight win will bring the golden end to his remarkable season, and although former British No 1 Rusedski admits it will be hard, he feels Murray will find a way to lift himself for the final. Murray was thrilled to come through against Raonic in the longest match ever at the season-ending tournament It was an absolutely brilliant that third set from Murray in the way he digs deep and finds a way to get the job done, Rusedski told Sky Sports. He breaks another record - 23 matches in a row. Its hard enough doing 10 in a row, but 23 and also against the very best players on the planet. I mean, Raonic was exceptional, he really raised his game. But now Murray must show that belief, that desire to come through. He wants to be year-end number one and we have the dream final possibly happening tomorrow. Murray wins O2 marathon semi Andy Murray beats Milos Raonic in ATP World TTour Finals last four Hes got to get into those ice baths and recover.dddddddddddd. Hes got 24 hours to get ready, but he will be so motivated. I was so impressed - that was one of his greatest performances ever to come through that in three hours and 38 minutes because he had to be tired in that third set.Mentally it is going to be tough for him because hes going to be sore, hes going to be tired and hes got to find a way to lift himself. This is where the experience of coach Ivan Lendl comes in, who has been through these situations before. Murray pulled off this magnificent half volley during the second set tie-break Murray has now played two three-hour monster matches and will be back on court on Sunday evening and Fleming thinks its asking a lot.As usual Andy seems to come up with his best responses when his back is against the wall and it most certainly is now, said former doubles specialist Fleming.Lets face it, hell need to come out quickly and establish himself and hopefully ride the wave.
