Birmingham, Ala. -- The Southeastern Conference and the University of Arkansas will play host to the 2016 SEC Cross Country Championships Friday at Agri Park in Fayetteville, Ark.The womens 6K race is scheduled for a 10 a.m. CT start, while the mens 8K race will begin at 11 a.m. An awards ceremony will follow the race. Admission to the 2016 SEC Cross Championships is free and open to the public, and spectator parking is available. This will mark the third time that Arkansas will play host to the SEC Cross Country Championships and first since 2004.Five Southeastern Conference cross country teams are ranked among the nations top-30 in the latest U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NCAA Division I Cross Country National Coaches Poll. The Arkansas men are ranked fifth, while Ole Miss is No. 11. The Kentucky men are listed among those receiving votes. The Arkansas women are ranked 10th, while Ole Miss is No. 16 and Mississippi State is No. 29.
