Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles was inactive for Sundays opener against the Chargers as he continues to rehab from surgery last season to repair a torn ACL in his right knee.Charles has been at practice for a few weeks but did not participate in any preseason games.The Chiefs did have linebacker Tamba Hali and safety Eric Berry active.
