New York, NY - Alabama and Florida State remained the top two teams in the latest Associated Press college football poll, but Baylor and Ohio State swapped places as the four are still the lone remaining unbeatens in the power conferences. Alabama, coming off a 20-7 win at Mississippi State on Saturday, held on to its firm grasp atop the poll. The Crimson Tide received 55 first-place votes and a total of 1,495 points from a nationwide media panel. Florida State, after its second straight 59-3 victory in as many weeks, kept the second spot and picked up two additional first-place votes. The Seminoles, who will close the regular season with a visit from Idaho and a trip to Florida, earned five No. 1 tallies and 1,445 total points. Baylor moved up one spot to third, while Ohio State dipped one place to fourth. Both had easy victories on Saturday, as the Bears continued to pile up the points in a 63-34 victory over Texas Tech and the Buckeyes pummeled Illinois, 60-35. Oregon inched up one spot to fifth and again controls its own destiny for a berth in the Pac-12 title game after Stanfords loss to USC on Saturday. The Ducks are followed by Auburn, Clemson, Missouri, Texas A&M and Stanford. The Cardinal couldnt build off the victory against Oregon and dropped a 20-17 decision at Southern California, tumbling five spots from No. 5. The second 10 consists of Oklahoma State, South Carolina, Michigan State, UCLA, Fresno State, Wisconsin, UCF, LSU, Arizona State and Northern Illinois. Fresno State and Northern Illinois are also undefeated. UCF dropped two spots from 15th after a narrow escape at Temple on Saturday. Louisville, Oklahoma, USC, Ole Miss and Duke are the last five teams ranked. USC, Ole Miss and Duke are this weeks newcomers. The resurgent Trojans, under interim coach Ed Orgeron, havent been ranked since the first poll of the regular season, while the Rebels were ranked for four weeks in September. Duke, meanwhile, is ranked for the first time since the final poll of the 1994 season. The Blue Devils, after a 48-30 win over then-No. 24 Miami-Florida on Saturday, are in control of their own destiny in the ACC Coastal Division. Miami, ranked No. 7 just three weeks ago, fell out of the poll after its third straight loss. Texas and Georgia also dropped out. The Longhorns were 23rd and fell to Oklahoma State, while the Bulldogs were No. 25 and lost a heartbreaker at Auburn on a 73-yard deflected touchdown pass on 4th-and-18 in the final minute. Next weeks schedule features four ranked matchups, including a huge Pac-12 South showdown between Arizona State and UCLA at the Rose Bowl. Missouri, which needs two wins to capture the SEC East and a berth in the conference title game, starts its quest at Ole Miss, and LSU hosts Texas A&M. Also, Baylor visits Oklahoma State with first place in the Big 12 on the line. BOSTON -- Evan Turner wasnt waiting for his coach to call timeout. Once he got the ball, he knew he had to take the last shot. Fortunately for the Philadelphia 76ers, it went in at the buzzer. "I wasnt listening at all," Turner said. "I was just going to get it and try to get a good shot up." He drove into the key and went up for the short shot that gave the 76ers a 95-94 win over Boston on Wednesday night as they jumped ahead of the Celtics in the standings -- out of last place in the Atlantic Division. The win "is huge" for the teams confidence, Turner said. "We pulled through and came back from giving up a lead." Deciding whether to call a timeout "is one of the most difficult decisions because it seems like life is in slow motion," Philadelphia coach Brett Brown said. "Ive learned the busted play, the broken play, the random play is probably as good an environment as youre going to get often." Trailing by one, Michael Carter-Williams rebounded the ball after Kris Humphries missed a jumper with 12 seconds left. The rookie dribbled then gave the ball to Turner just past midcourt. And when Turner was guarded by a defender four inches shorter, he was in good shape. "I saw Jerryd Bayless switch on to me as opposed to Jeff Green, so I knew I had a little bit of an advantage," Turner said. He released his shot just in time to give the 76ers only their third win in 13 games. "Evan Turner has a history of doing that in those situations," Boston coach Brad Stevens said. "Thats why I thought hed shoot it." The Celtics (15-33) lost for the 19th time in 22 games. Spencer Hawes led Philadelphia (15-31) with 20 points and tied his career high with four 3-pointers. Turner had 16 points and eight assists and Thaddeus Young added 16 points. Jared Sullinger led Boston with 24 points and 17 rebounds but missed 16 of 25 shots. "He played his best game in a while but he still didnt shoot it the way that hes used to shooting it," Stevens said. "That said, we have to have great perrformances to win.dddddddddddd" Green had 18 points, but just five after the first quarter for Boston. Sullinger had broken a 90-90 tie with two free throws, putting Boston ahead with 3:06 left. Then both teams had trouble connecting from the line. Carter-Williams missed one of two for the 76ers, Bayless missed two for the Celtics and Young also missed two. Carter-Williams missed another one before sinking his second, tying the game at 92 with 1:01 remaining. Humphries put Boston back on top when he tipped in Sullingers missed layup with 42 seconds remaining. Philadelphias free throw troubles seemed to end when Turner made one, cutting Bostons lead to 94-93. But he missed the second and Bayless rebounded. That possession ended when Humphries missed his jumper, setting up the 76ers for the winning shot. Trailing 74-71 after the third quarter, the Celtics opened the fourth with a 15-4 run that gave them an 86-78 lead four minutes into the period. They hit three 3-pointers during the surge, two by Chris Johnson and one by Green. But the 76ers responded with a 12-4 spurt and tied the game at 90, capping it with back-to-back dunks by James Anderson and Young. Boston led 26-23 after the first quarter, but Philadelphia scored the first 10 points of the second to take a seven-point lead. Hawes began the surge with consecutive 3-pointers before Dewayne Dedmon made a layup and a dunk. An eight-point run gave the 76ers a 48-34 lead, but the Celtics cut that to 53-47 at halftime.
