The Ottawa Senators have assigned centre Mika Zibanejad to Binghamton of the American Hockey League. The 20-year-old Swede is headed to Binghamton as the Sens trim their roster down to 22 for opening night. Zibanejad suited up in 42 games for Ottawa last season, scoring seven goals and adding 13 assists. He would add a goal and three assists in 10 playoff games. The Senators selected Zibanejad with the sixth overall pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Ottawa assigned a totla of 30 players to the American Hockey League and the Canadian Hockey League. Joining Zibanejad in Binghamton will be 2012 first-rounder Cody Ceci, forwards Matt Puempel, Mark Stone and Mike Hoffman among others.
