Adelaide coach Don Pyke is too busy looking for potential banana peels to devote any time to dreaming of a top-four spot.Pykes fifth-placed Crows are one of the form teams of the competition and could climb into the top four if they extend their current winning streak to seven against Carlton on Sunday. But Adelaide are one of six teams with 10-4 win-loss records and Pyke knows the Crows could pay a steep price for any slip-ups.I dont look at the ladder in detail but theres a fair bit of swings and merry-go-rounds happening at the moment with sides who, based on one result, can go from second to sixth or seventh, Pyke said.We take nothing for granted - we just focus on getting wins and this week is another chance (for that).I know theres a lot of talk out there about (the top four) but the reality is for us is that weve won 10 games and weve got more games to win before we even consolidate a spot in the finals. Were not looking very far ahead at all.Adelaide have benefited from a ssettled lineup for most of the season thanks to a skinny injury list.ddddddddddddAnd there was more good news on Wednesday with former Greater Western Sydney speedster Curtly Hampton cleared to play his first SANFL game for his new club after overcoming a serious foot injury. Its great to have Curtly back and available this week ... I know that hes really excited about returning to play, Pyke said. Its been a pretty frustrating year for him through a series of little injuries followed by an operation.Hes really had a little mini pre-season to get himself back to play this week. With eight weeks to go in the season its important he gets back, gets some continuity of training and playing and well see what happens for the rest of the year. Its an important period for him, but also a really exciting period as he gets to start to play regular footy hopefully.
